About
Hey — I’m Benjamen Pyle, a developer who enjoys building things for the web. This site is where I write about software engineering, cloud architecture, serverless, and whatever else I’m tinkering with.
What I do
I spend most of my time working with TypeScript, Rust, Go, modern frameworks, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. I care about performance, clean code, and shipping things that actually work well for the people who use them.
Projects
PCT — I thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, a 2,650-mile trek from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington. It was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, and it occasionally finds its way into my writing.
Homeschool Ace — An edtech platform I’m building to help homeschool families manage curriculum, track progress, and stay organized.
This site
binaryheap.com is built with Astro, styled with Tailwind CSS, and deployed on AWS CloudFront + S3.
